An Aisle Planner alternative for UK planners

Looking for an Aisle Planner alternative in the UK usually starts with the invoice: dollars, and a tier that goes up when your business does. This page sets out plainly what Aisle Planner does better, what I Said Yes does better, and who should choose which. It is written from Aisle Planner's own published pages, and the date we last checked is at the bottom.

What Aisle Planner does better

A business side with years behind it
Aisle Planner's lead inbox, proposals, contracts with e-signature and invoicing with online payment all sit in the one subscription, and have done for years. I Said Yes has enquiries, proposals, contracts and invoices too, in Complete, but they are new. If the longest track record on the business side matters most, that is Aisle Planner.
Breadth and maturity
Aisle Planner has been used by working planners for years, and the feature list is long: style guides, colour palettes, a notebook, team task assignment, account-wide calendar syncing. Some of that overlaps with ours; some of it we have deliberately not built. If you want the most features in one place, that is a genuine point in their favour.
Budgets and invoices in many currencies
Aisle Planner's budgets and invoices can be kept in 36 currencies, pounds among them, which matters if you bill couples abroad. I Said Yes works in pounds only.
A fuller client view
Aisle Planner releases its planning tools to the client module by module, so a couple can be given close to the planner's own view. Our portal is deliberately narrower and calmer, and some planners will prefer the fuller version.

What I Said Yes does better

We move your weddings across for you, free
The real cost of changing software is re-entering twenty weddings by hand and getting some of it wrong. Send us what Aisle Planner exports and we do it, on any plan, at no charge, usually within five working days. You check it before it counts.
One price, however many weddings you run
Aisle Planner publishes a 49.99 dollar plan, but it is sales tools only: there is no project management in it at all. The moment you want to plan a wedding, you are on 69.99 US dollars a month for up to 15 active projects, then 109.99 for up to 25, 164.99 for up to 50 and 229.99 for up to 100. So the comparison that matters to a planner is their 69.99 against our £49, and ours is the one that does not step up: £49 a month for Planning or £79 for Complete, no VAT charged, for unlimited weddings, unlimited couples and unlimited team members. A good year does not raise your software bill.
Built for UK weddings, not translated for them
Pounds and pence with VAT-aware totals, DD/MM/YYYY, 24-hour times, Monday-first calendars, suppliers rather than vendors, and a UK checklist that starts with giving notice at the register office rather than a marriage licence. The checklist has three versions, one per service level, including on-the-day coordination.
A day mode for the wedding itself
A one-handed dashboard for the day, not a printout of the plan. One running-late offset moves the whole day while the fixed points stay put, the ceremony and the registrar among them, and clashes are named in plain English rather than coloured in. The screen changes as the day does, through its eight parts from setup to carriages, so what is in front of you is what that hour needs. Who's who puts a name and a face to the people you have to find. Dietary needs stay one tap away all day, and you can set your own reminders for the things only you know are coming. It keeps working in a barn with one bar of signal and catches up when the signal returns. Aisle Planner's timeline is a planning document; ours is also the thing you run the day from.
A website for every wedding, in six looks
Not one template with your couple's names in it. Six looks, and you choose who can see each site: a private link, a shared password, or public and indexed once you say so. The couple write their own words if you let them, or you keep the pen. It can carry a second language for guests abroad, and after the day it settles into a read-only keepsake rather than disappearing. It is built from what you already hold, so the date, the venue and the schedule are right without anyone typing them twice.
Dietary needs handled as the medical data they are
Allergies are detected from what the guest wrote, flagged and counted separately from preferences, and they reach the planner, the day pack and the caterer's sheet and nowhere else. The guest's own words always sit beside the flag.
A calmer product
One context at a time, 15 to 16px body text, a Today page that shows what needs doing rather than forty widgets. Aisle Planner is dense by design; some planners like that. We think most do not.

Questions planners ask

Is I Said Yes cheaper than Aisle Planner?
Their cheapest plan, at 49.99 US dollars, has no project management in it, so it is not planning software. Their planning tiers start at 69.99 a month for up to 15 active projects and step up to 229.99 for up to 100. I Said Yes is £49 a month for Planning or £79 for Complete however many weddings you run, with no VAT charged. Which works out cheaper on the day depends on the exchange rate; the difference that lasts is that ours never steps up.
Can I bring my weddings over from Aisle Planner?
Yes, and we will do it for you, free, usually within five working days. Aisle Planner exports each wedding's guest list, budget and timeline, and your contacts, and we move those across; you check it before it counts. Or import guests, budgets and suppliers yourself from any .csv or .xlsx, with a preview before anything is saved and an undo for a day afterwards.
Does I Said Yes have contracts and invoicing?
Yes, in Complete: enquiries, proposals couples accept online, contracts with e-signature, and invoices that send and chase themselves. Aisle Planner has had its business tools for longer.
Does I Said Yes work in dollars or euros?
No. It is built for UK planners and works in pounds only, with VAT-aware totals. Aisle Planner's budgets and invoices can be kept in 36 currencies, so if you bill couples abroad it is the better fit.
How do you keep this comparison honest?
It is written from Aisle Planner's own public pages, it names what they do better, and the date of the last check is printed at the bottom of the page. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
