Bringing in your spreadsheets

Weddings, Guests, Budget and Suppliers each have an Import button. Excel, CSV and tab-separated files all work.

Start with your weddings if you are moving from somewhere else: one row for each, with the couple's names, the date, the venue and whether it is full planning, partial planning or on the day. Each one can have its checklist from today on, without the tasks already past their dates. Then bring each wedding's guests and budget in.

1. Choose the file. If it has several sheets, pick one. Title rows above the headings are skipped.
2. Check the columns. Each column is matched to a field; change any match, or ignore a column.
3. Check the preview. You see the first rows and a count of what will happen. Rows it cannot use come back as a download with the reason beside each.
4. Import. You can undo the whole import for 24 hours.

"Mr & Mrs John Smith" becomes two people in one household, and Y, Yes and Attending all count as yes.
